Responsibilities

The Primary Investment Analyst will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing, investigating and monitoring investment opportunities. The role offers a diversified exposure to private equity and venture capital investing and a high-level of responsibility.

 

Specifically, the individual will be involved with and responsible for:

 

Assist in assessing primary investment opportunities

  • Participate on deal teams
  • Perform quantitative analysis including portfolio valuation, comparable company analysis, value driver analysis and performance attribution analysis
  • Perform industry/ sector analysis
  • Prepare meeting notes
  • Assist in preparation of investment memorandum
  • Assist in legal negotiation and documentation

Provide transactional support for the co-investment and secondary

  • Perform private equity portfolio valuations and transaction modeling
  • Conduct market and company research
  • Participate in due diligence calls with sellers & GPs
  • Assist in all aspects of the transaction, including deal selection, pricing analysis, negotiation and execution
  • Assist in all transaction documentation and presentations to investment committee

Assist in projects for the partnership team

  • Manage deal log and related documentation
  • Conduct market research
  • Develop and maintain proprietary deal and market intelligence
  • Perform deal monitoring analysis
  • Participation in identification of deal sourcing targets
  • Perform other ad hoc projects

Qualifications

We seek an individual who is self-disciplined, demonstrates creative thinking and has the following characteristics

  • Native speaker of Mandarin is required. Strong English writing and speaking skills are required
  • Graduated from a top-tier undergraduate university. Business/Finance/Accounting background preferred
  • Overseas education or working experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry. 1 year of private equity investment experience preferred.
  • Ability to commence work in the near term would be advantageous
  • Willingness to be based in Beijing
  • Strong analytical, modeling, organizational, and writing skills.
  • A professional presence combined with relationship and communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • A highly motivated, self-starter with the ability work independently within a team context

Candidates will be required to pass a case study which will evaluate technical skills prior to being selected for an interview.
